How to make a GIF from images

Mixed sizes: fit or fill
A GIF has one canvas size for every frame. This maker sizes the canvas from your first image and your chosen width. When a later image has a different shape, Fit scales it to show the whole picture and fills the gaps with your border color, while Fill scales it to cover the canvas and trims what sticks out. Put the image with the shape you want first.
Keeping the GIF small
- Frames that share a background (screenshots, slides) compress well: unchanged areas are stored only once.
- Photos are full of subtle color, so fewer colors (64 or 32) and a smaller width make the biggest difference.

How do I make a GIF from pictures?
Choose two or more images, put them in the order you want with the arrow buttons, choose how long each frame shows, then press Make GIF and download it.
What image formats can I use?
Any image your browser can display, such as PNG, JPG and WebP. If a file can't be opened, it's skipped and listed so you know which one.
What if my images are different sizes?
The GIF takes its shape from the first image. Choose Fit to show each image whole with borders in the color you pick, or Fill to crop the edges so every frame is covered.
How many images can I add?
Up to 300. The total size is also limited so the GIF can be built in your browser's memory; the tool tells you if you go over.
Can I make a GIF from a video instead?
Yes. Use the video to GIF converter, which reads frames from an MP4, WebM or MOV file or from a screen recording.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The images are read and combined into the GIF on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
